I read with interest your posting for the Information Systems Support Specialist I position on the virginia.gov website. I have over 22 years of experience, which includes building troubleshooting and repairing personal and business computers, servers and both wired and wireless networks. I also have experience working with Android and Apple mobile devices. I am interested in working for Frederick County Department of Social Services, where I can use and build on my knowledge and further develop my skills on an ongoing basis as well as develop a career.

While working at Tektility I wrote several scripts and programs, using several different languages, to fully automate tasks such as disk cleanups or disk defragmentation to allow these tasks to be completed when the PCs were not in use, such as when businesses were closed. The owner of Tektility expressed that he felt I was the best PC Technician and Network Administrator / Engineer in the Winchester area. Working for Gas Mart I was able to grow my experience with Active Directory, Group Policy and NTFS permissions. At Computers Unlimited I developed my interpersonal skills and customer service skills by developing and nurturing relationships with customers to increase business. As the only PC Technician and Network Administrator at Computers Unlimited, I have received a ranking of 5.0 out of 5.0 on Facebook reviews and 4.94 out of 5 from Home Advisor customers. All three of these positions required that I interface with third party vendors and support. Working for all three companies I pulled and terminated several different types of cables Some of the types cable I have pulled and terminated include category 5 and 6 cables in patch panels, 110 punch down blocks as well as with RJ-45 connectors. I have installed, troubleshot and repaired several Windows desktop and server platforms, as well as services including Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP and RRAS for customers at all three companies.

I have used several different customer relationship managers (CRM), professional service automation (PSA) and remote monitoring and management (RMM) services throughout my career. While working at Newell Brands I used Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and CyberArk. While working at Tektility I used ConnectWise, Kaseya and Labtech. At Computers Unlimited I used Syncro.

I have an ever-growing passion for information technology and desire to learn new skills and abilities. I am dependable, reliable and a hard worker with a never fail attitude, the more difficult the task or problem the more I want to succeed.
